Why is the site called Sommer Season all Year? Well it so happens that my surname is Sommer which is actually the German spelling of the season summer. Since my ancestors came from Germany that makes sense. I live in a country where there are four seasons; summer, winter, spring and fall. It does not matter which season it is. My surname never changes, thus the name, Sommer Season all year.
Who Am I? In my 35 years of teaching, I taught Grade 6, junior high, and senior high school and consequently had no time to write. Now that I am retired from teaching, I can finally write, I will share some of my thoughts, beliefs, opinions, personal adventures and stories on my blog. I will write more articles, and more books. Maybe even share some wisdom. I don’t expect everyone to agree with what I have to say, but that is okay. It would be a boring world if we all agreed with one another. My students certainly didn’t always agree with me in class, but that did not stop me from expressing my opinions.
